The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to adopt Integrity Chain, a civic-led blockchain transparency platform convened by Donald Lim. The official signing ceremony is scheduled for September 30, 2025, at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

The initiative, powered by BayaniChain (BYC) Ventures, will begin by recording Foreign Assisted Projects (FAPs) on-chain to ensure tamper-proof, auditable, and verifiable records.
Why It Matters Today: DPWH has faced mounting criticism in recent weeks over flood control projects marred by cost overruns, delays, and alleged substandard construction. Congressional hearings and public rallies have amplified calls for greater accountability. DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed that charges have been filed against personnel involved.
Just now, more allegations of corruption have been revealed in the Senate hearing!
And so, Integrity Chain is being positioned as a safeguard to ensure transparency from the ground up.
